HARMONY WEEK: Laurieston Hall, Laurieston, Castle Douglas, Kirkcudbrightshire.
Laurieston Hall is set in an area of rolling countryside: forest, farmland, lochs and wilderness. During this week-long workshop I’ll be teaching with Val Mindel, Peter and Mary Alice Amadon from USA and Kate Howard. As well as the musical focus of the week there will also be time to enjoy walks, swimming, canoeing and rowing on the loch; an idyllic wood fired sauna set by its own pond; wood fires – indoor and out; the huge walled vegetable garden; and to brush against the lives of the 25 adults and children who have made Laurieston Hall their home. Food for the week will be home-cooked and vegetarian and special diets are catered for. It is a wheelchair accessible venue. Accommodation is in shared rooms in the house or, if more privacy is required you can either stay in a local B&B, camp in ready-pitched tents provided with your own mattress or bring your own camper van or tent. A small discount is given to visitors using one of these three options. Costs are kept low by asking visitors to help with some small domestic jobs through the week: jobs such as laying tables, assisting a resident with cooking a meal, washing up, collecting wood.

VOICE CAMP NORTH: Rusland Valley, Lake District, Cumbria
The 1st Voice Camp in the north of England! The camp will bring together expert Natural Voice leaders from across the North of Britain and provide a wonderful singing community under canvas for 5 beautiful days. With several workshops a day, themed evenings of song and plenty of time to chill out and relax with friends old and new, this is a singing event not to be missed!
There will be an on-site cafe and lots of fringe events throughout the camp. To add to the sense of community and harmony with nature, camping will be in circles with wood available for campfires for cooking, tea brewing and singing around. Voice Camp North aims to have as small an impact on the earth as possible.
